Washington, DC: The National Geographic Society, 1949. The July, 1949 issue, Volume XCVI, Number One. Quarto, wraps, 144 pp. + ads. (i.e., pp 1-144 for the volume). Plenty of color photographs in NG by this time. About Near Fine, a striking copy. Gentle nick at right edge of cover, small touch wear at a couple of other points. See scans. A high grade periodical copy. Appalachian Valley Pilgrimage, Seashells, Skyway Below the Clouds, Lapland's Reindeer Roundup, Pittsburgh...
